Sheri Jones-Moffett Sheri Jones-Moffett
Sheri Jones-Moffett has been taking the gospel music industry by storm. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, she is best known as one half of the two-time Stellar Award winning duo Ted & Sheri. Sheri has honed her musical mettle with some of Gospel's most notable figures. Yet, it was her collaboration with Ted Winn that has generated the greatest buzz. Sheri's high-octane signature voice is easily recognizable and can be heard on several albums including the 50TH GRAMMY® AWARD nominated song "Encourage Yourself" from Finale: Act One, the heralded album from Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers of which she is also a long time member. Sheri has toured extensively with Lawrence and has worked with a bevy of gospel music giants including Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Kurt Karr and Kim Burell. Tum Tum Tum Tum
Texas, we have problem. For far too long, hip-hop has overlooked Dallas, dismissing the southern city as nothing more than the home of an infamous football team and wealthy oil tycoons. But native son Tony “Tum Tum” Richardson has a solution. An overnight celebrity on the D-Town mixtape scene part of the 7 man group The Dirty South Rydaz (DSR) and CEO of his franchise label TBGZ-, Tum Tum used his first SOLO major label debut disc Eat or Get Ate (T-Town Music/Universal Republic Records) to shut down all the misguided myths about his hometown and put his city on the hip-hop map. Tum Tum, who was given his nickname by his grandmother because of his always protruding belly, grew up in the slums. For a while, he gave in to the lure of the streets, but in 2001, he retired from the life to pursue music. “I saw a lot of people get locked up and I didn’t want to go that route,” Tum says. “I had to do something different with my life.” (Hence the Album “Eat or Get Ate” ) To learn more about Tum Tum Click here
